"I come from a proud family that has believed that education is the best way to give a person options in their life. I think the first words that my father ever said to me was "so where do you want to go to college?". My grandmother was a teacher, my father was a farmer that studied Agronomy (farming) at Northern Eastern Oklahoma College & Oklahoma State University. My mother went to Secretarial school in Tulsa during the 1960's. She started college a few years before her death. We need to create more living wage jobs, improve our schools, and make wise decisions about how we spend the hard earned money of the Citizens of Oklahoma.
LIST OF ISSUES
Education
The children of this State deserve the best education that is reasonable and adequately funded. If we do not provide the best education, we will pay a greater cost when they become adults and do not have the education and skills that employers are seeking.
Drug Addiction
I see clients every day from the wealthiest to the poorest that are addicted to painkillers. We must limit the access to painkillers as we did to the ingredients of Methamphetamine.
Housing
Our veterans need assistance in acquiring and retaining adequate housing.
Healthcare
Our state is filled with people that are unhealthy due to obesity which leads to Diabetes, Heart issues, Circulation and many other health problems. We need to encourage everyone to eat a healthier diet and to exercise more. We live in a state where the weather is beautiful most of the year and this allows us to get outside frequently.
